In Memory of Mariann Farrell

May 1, 1971 - September 28, 2021

MARIANN (née LASTOCZY) FARRELL passed away on Tuesday, September 28, 2021, at home, after a courageous 3 1/2 year battle with brain cancer. She was 50 years old.
Born in Edison, she resided in Old Bridge before moving to South River 24 years ago.
Prior to retiring in 2018, Mariann was a nurse at Kindred Pulmonology, which was part of Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in Rahway for 10 years. She also worked for Raritan Bay Medical Center in Old Bridge and Perth Amboy for 15 years.
Mariann was predeceased by her father, Edward Lastoczy, in 1992, and her brother-in-law, Alan Preston in 2020.
Surviving are her husband of 27 years, Michael; their sons, Sean and Ryan, both of South River; her mother, Dolores (née Wilson) Lastoczy-Adams of Toms River; her sisters, Maureen Preston of Parlin, and Michele Rieth and her husband, John, of Morganville, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, October 9, 2021, at 10:00 am, at Corpus Christi R.C. Church, 100 James Street, South River, under the direction of The BRUNSWICK MEMORIAL HOME, East Brunswick. The burial of cremains will immediately follow Mass at Chestnut Hill Cemetery, East Brunswick. Cremation was private.
