New Jersey Governor proclaimed May as "Brain Tumor Awareness Month".

After being asked to do so by resident Bruce Blount, New Jersey Governor Chris Christie made the proclamation.

Stating the "importance of recognizing the courageous battle fought by those who are currently undergoing treatment for brain tumors as well as the dedicated medical professionals who are working hard to save the lives of their patients". Also stated were several facts about brain tumors. The governor closed by encouraging residents to "learn about potential causes of brain tumors and do all they can to spread awareness of this serious health concern.
