In honor of Brain Tumor Awareness Month, the first "Brain Tumor Forum" patient conference will take place at the Lance Auditorium, located within Jersey Shore University Medical Center, 1945 Route 33, Neptune, NJ on Saturday, May 10, 2014 from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m.

Join a distinguished panel of experts as they discuss various important topics affecting brain tumor survivors and their loved ones. Topics that will be discussed include but are not limited to: treatment options, cognitive therapies and rehabilitation.

This regional event features a variety of guest speakers including Neuro-Oncologist Dr. Joseph Landolfi, Radiation Oncologist Dr. Adnan Danish, Oncology Nurse-Navigator Joan Hallman, RN, OCN, Neurosurgeon Dr. William Maggio and more.  The program will include opportunities for Questions and Answers with the guest speakers.  Following that, a brain tumor support group meeting will take place.  Light refreshments will be served and free parking is available.

This half-day program is open to patients (currently being treated), survivors of past brain tumor treatments, family caregivers, medical professionals and others interested in any type of brain tumor. 

The Brain Tumor Forum is co-sponsored by the Monmouth and Ocean County Brain Tumor Support Group, Inc., Meridian Cancer Care and Meridian Neuroscience.
