Al's Comment:

This trial is worth considering for patients with newly diagnosed Glioblastoma - if they happen to live in the NY City area.    Enrollment must begin before radiation starts.

Musella Foundation awards another brain tumor research grant!

Hewlett, NY 12/14/2020 - The Musella Foundation is pleased to announce that we have awarded a $20,000  brain tumor research grant to Dr. Tony J. C. Wang at Columbia University's Herbert Irving Comprehensive Cancer Center for the project: “An Open-Label Phase II Study of Atezolizumab, Tocilizumab and Temozolomide with Radiotherapy in Patients with newly Diagnosed Glioblastoma without PTEN loss or mutation".
The hypothesis is based on preclinical data show that targeting IL-6 in combination with anti-PD-L1 therapy may result in clinically significant anti-tumor effects, and the combination with radiotherapy would induce multiple immunostimulatory effects in the tumor microenvironment.
A big thanks to all those who contributed which allowed us to make this grant!
