Kenneth P. Reidinger, 84, passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, March 10, 2025. Kenneth (Ken) was born in Newark, NJ and resided in Barnegat, NJ.
Ken was a graduate of St. Peters College, Jersey City, NJ. A proud veteran, he served as an officer in the U.S. Army in Germany between 1962-1965. Upon his return to the U.S., he began a 33-year career with the Social Security Administration. He retired in 1995 as Director of the SSI Quality Assurance Branch, NY Regional Office.
He and the love of his life, wife Loretta, spent 34 years in Upper Montclair, NJ where they raised their 4 children, and summered in the Poconos, PA prior to retiring to the Four Seasons in Barnegat in 2002. Above all Ken was a devoted family man and his legacy and "family first" mantra will live on through his children, their spouses, and his ten grandchildren, who know him as "gpop".
Ken was a member of the Four Seasons Barnegat Men's Club and a member of the National Association of Active and Retired Federal Employees. As a dedicated family man, he enjoyed fishing, biking and other outdoor activities and loved nothing more than to spend time outdoors, and vacationing with his children and grandchildren. He actively participated in the Mirage bowling, water volleyball, and bocce teams as well as being a volunteer at Southern Ocean Medical Hospital.
He was 13 years preceded in death by his wife Loretta of 49 years and is survived by two sons and two daughters, Mitchell Reidinger and his wife Kathy, Lisa Orban and her husband Scott, Christine Lusardi and her husband Greg, and Paul Reidinger and his wife Tiffany as well as his grandchildren, Kevin, Alex, Chelsea, Brandon, Holly, Cassie, Leah, Carly, Grace and Taylor. As per his wishes, funeral and cremation services will be private.
