Raymond Claude Hupke

In Memory of Raymond Claude Hupke

February 2, 1965 – December 7, 2025

Raymond Hupke (Ray) of Sparta, Tennessee lost his brave battle against glioblastoma (wild type) brain cancer and passed away peacefully at 7:30 am on December 7, 2025 at age 60. Born on February 2, 1965 in Chicago, Illinois, Ray graduated from McHenry East High School in 1983. He attended one successful year of college at Western Illinois University in Macomb, Illinois prior to working in the custom window treatments trade. On 10/31/1986, Ray founded Nu- View Custom Window Treatments, Inc., starting from nothing, and served the Chicagoland area for 39 years. While many competitors came and went, Ray ran his business with nothing more than his van full of tools & samples, a pager, then later a cell phone, a desk at his McHenry, Illinois home, and himself as the only assets. His success was built on the reputation he earned from providing outstanding service to his many customers and standing by the products he sold and personally installed. Married to his soul mate Patricia (Trish) Hupke since December 31, 1999, they built their life together in McHenry, Illinois by renovating their home and entertaining family and friends in their infamous resort-like backyard they created together with an inground pool. Ray valued providing and creating memories for his family above all else. Of all their vacations Ray’s favorite was spending two weeks fishing with Trish & family & friends on their boat at Arcadia Lodge in Bigfork, Minnesota most summers. Ray was an unapologetic traditional, common-sense, patriotic American who shared a dream with Trish that they made a reality in 2022 when they moved into their newly built dream home on 6 acres in Sparta, Tennessee where Ray was his happiest & most content. Ray was a devoted husband, father, step-father, brother, brother-in-law, and uncle. He is survived by his wife Trish, their son Nathan Hupke (25) of Sparta, Tennessee, step-sons Craig Spittle (29) and Andrew Spittle (33) both of Paddock Lake, Wisconsin, his sister Laureen Sandoval (Fred), his niece Gianna Sandoval (23) and nephew Anthony Sandoval (25) all of Waterloo, Iowa, and his many friends who remember him for the fun-loving, loyal, young-at-heart guy he has always been. Ray was preceded in death by his mother, Claudine Catherine Corsini (formerly Hupke) and his father, Raymond Ellsworth Hupke. In respecting Ray’s final wishes, there will be no service for him in Illinois, just an intimate and private family in-home send off with their Pastor. Memorial donations may be made in Ray’s name to the MUSELLA Foundation for Brain Tumor Research and Information:
