I wanted to let you know that we are having the regular BT Support Group Meeting this coming Thursday, April 6, at the Plainview Library ( on Old Country Road) from 7-9PM.
We have a guest speaker coming for part of the meeting. Our speaker is Dr. Michael Brisman, Director of the Gamma Knife Center at So. Nassau Communities Hospital, Oceanside. Dr. Brisman will be providing a short but informative slide show on recent development in treating brain tumors. He is able to talk about every aspect of treatment from traditional surgery, to gamma knife/ stereotactic surgery. He is an excellent resource and a very dynamic speaker.
There will be time for all of you to update the group on your own situations PLUS an exciting presentation. As usual, there will be lots of information available on our resource table and coffee and tea will be available as well.
PLEASE try and come to this important meeting. We missed our March meeting due to the snow so this is a great time to attend and let us know how you are doing. If you cannot attend, please pass this e-mail onto anyone who may be interested. Also, I don’t have everyone’s e-mail address so please call anyone who you think might not have gotten this e-mail.
