Campaign to Create a Brain Tumor Awareness Specialty Plate in Virginia

 

Dale Thomas, 31, was recently diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor and is attempting to create awareness through a specialty license plate. Plates will cost $25 ($35 for personalized plates) - $10 covering the cost of the plate, and $15 being donated to the Brain Tumor Society.

 

Upon Dale Thomas’ request, Del Robert Marshall introduced a bill (HB 5024) at the Virginia General Assembly petitioning the DMV to create a specialty license plate for Brain Tumor Awareness. In order for the plates to be ordered, 350 people must submit prepaid applications by 11/20/06. DMV prefers to receive all applications and payments in one lump sum; therefore, applications can be sent to Dale Thomas at 10433 Dylan Place, Manassas, VA, 20109. Checks should be payable to Dale Thomas. If 350 applications are not received by the deadline, the money will be returned.
