In addition, The Public House will donate 10% of all revenue made during the benefit to Nichole's Cord Foundation. A silent auction will also be held.

Nichole's Cord Foundation supports research of spinal cord tumors (SCTs) including astrocytomas and glioblastomas. This organization is dedicated to raising money to find a "cure for others through research and development." For more information on this foundation, visit www.cordfoundation.org.

This local chapter is founded in honor of Nichole, a resident of Churchville, PA, who lost a two year battle with glioblastoma in April 2005. Throughout Nichole’s fight she endured rigorous chemotherapy, experienced loss of function in her legs and arms, and confusion brought on through seizures that resulted from an aggressive radiation treatment.

Yet through it all Nichole remained positive and hopeful and never relented to the disease. She even returned to school after missing her first semester of senior year, to double her course-load and graduate with her classmates. Today, Nichole’s battle serves as an example of perseverance and hopefulness to all who have heard her story.
