The Beez Foundation, whose mission is to raise money for pediatric brain cancer research, raise awareness of pediatric brain cancer and provide patient services, anticipates issuing Research and/or Support Grants not to exceed $10,000 in aggregate for:
1. Brain cancer research projects or studies that are designed to advance the treatment, cure, outcome and etiology of pediatric brain cancer. Indirect costs are not allowed.
The Beez Foundation’s particular interest is in the initial funding of projects that are likely to generate data that can be used in larger scale projects or studies. International applicants will be considered for funding.
2. Any patient services that are focused on making the lives of children with cancer and their families a little easier. Preference is made to pediatric cancer related requests, but the Foundation will consider all legitimate replies from applicants in the northeast United States. Indirect costs are not allowed.
3. Any educational tool that will raise the awareness of brain cancer and increase knowledge of patient treatment or options but the Foundation will consider all legitimate replies from applicants in the northeast United States. Indirect costs are not allowed.

Deadline for submission is December 21, 2007.
The Beez Foundation accepts for review all grant applications submitted by an accredited researcher, medical facility, research institution or patient service program that specifically addresses pediatric brain cancer issues, research, public education or patient services.
All submitted applications will be reviewed by the Foundation's voluntary Medical Advisory Committee and their recommendations and comments will be used by the Foundation's Board of Directors in deciding this year's recipient(s).
The Beez Foundation recognizes that occasionally grant applications will be submitted by the very Experts that the Foundation depends upon for medical guidance. In those instances, the submitted application(s) is (are) reviewed and critiqued without assistance from the applicant to eliminate any appearance of impropriety.
Awards are made by the Foundation's Board of Directors, whose decision is final. Grants will be awarded at the Beez Foundation’s Annual Awards Gala, which will be held in February 2008.
