6th Annual Matthew’s Miles—Walk for a Brain Tumor Cure
Logan Township, NJ (8-22-2008) – The Passarella Family will hold the 6th Annual Matthew’s Miles—Walk for a Brain Tumor Cure on Saturday, October 18 at 10:00 am. This event will be held at the Logan Township Recreational Park in Logan Township, New Jersey. Pre-registration fee is $20 per person, which includes a t-shirt. Day of registration fee is $25 per person. All proceeds will benefit the American Brain Tumor Association, a 501(c)(3) not-for profit organization, in support of brain tumor research. With the support of the community, friends, family and local businesses, the Passarella Family has raised over $97,000 for brain tumor research over the past five years.
This year, Matthew’s Miles will again participate in a worldwide effort to raise brain tumor awareness. All miles walked by participants in Matthew’s Miles will be logged and sent to the International Brain Tumor Alliance,
in support of their Brain Tumor Awareness Week project, “Walk Around the World for Brain Tumors.” Participating organizations and individuals "donate" their mileage to the Awareness Week Web site. The idea is to reach a target of 25,000 miles which is the circumference of the world at the equator. To read more about the International Brain Tumor Alliance, you can visit
