Recycling Program to Raise Funds for Brain Tumor Research
March 2007 – The Nick Gonzales Foundation for Brain Tumor Research (NGF) , a 501c3 public charity, has partnered with Cartridges for Kids to recycle used products including:
Printer, fax and toner cartridges
Cell Phones, PDAs, IPods
Digital cameras (working or non-working)
Old laptops
DVDs
GPS units
Proceeds benefit the Foundation’s ongoing funding of projects dedicated to brain tumor research. A $50,000 research grant was provided to MD Anderson’s Brain Tumor Center in May 2008, using proceeds from their recycling efforts, donations, their annual charity golf tournament and their real estate referral program. The NGF makes donating used items listed above EASY by mailing contributors prepaid shipping labels. Shipping labels are used on boxes from 20-40 pounds each and identify the Foundation as the recipient of the recycled dollar amount.
For more information or to request prepaid shipping labels, please contact Cindy Villarreal of The NGF today. Thank you for your support!
