The Grey Ribbon Crusade is now launching it's Brain Tumor Text Challenge, in time for Brain Tumor Awareness Month (May).
To participate, you make a $5 donation by texting the word BRAIN to 40579 the $5 donation will appear on your phone bill. Normal texting charges may also apply. Then ask 5 of your friends to do the same.
This works for most cell phones, except Verizon is not yet ready. When you try it, you will get a text message back asking you to confirm the donation. Respond to make the donation. IF you do not get the confirmation, your carrier doesn't participate yet - you can still donate, just do it online at greyribboncrusade.org/donate
