Magical Moon Foundation announces “A Knight to Remember”
benefit dinner dance.
Event to be held February 20th at the Shaw’s Center in Brockton featuring live music and a ballroom dance performance by nationally ranked youth dancers.
January 25, 2010 Marshfield MA - The Magical Moon Foundation (www.themagicalmoonfoundation.org) is holding a charity dinner dance February 20th at the Shaw’s Center (www.shawscenter.com) in Brockton, MA from 6 PM to 11 PM. The tax-deductible event features a performance by several nationally ranked youth ballroom dancers, a sit down dinner, and silent auction. Live music will be provided by Conor O’Brien and friends (www.conormusic.com). Auction items include a no reserve five-day hotel stay in Hawaii, a day on a custom sport fishing boat, ballroom dance lessons and gift certificates from local merchants. Tickets are $75 per person, or a table of ten may be purchased for $700.
The Magical Moon Foundation, a recognized non-profit organization based in Marshfield, MA works with children with cancer and their families. Founded by local artist Donna Green, the event is being held to honor Ricky Hoffman’s bravery, an eleven-year-old boy who lost his battle with brain cancer last November. "These children are little "Light Beings" who bless us with their presence for a short time and yet remain engraved in our hearts forever. They remind us of how precious life is, and bring out the best out in us. I will always be grateful for the grace they've added to my life," said Donna Green, founder of the Magical Moon Foundation
“Ricky found a purpose at the Magical Moon Foundation, it was a great help in keeping positive during our 2.5 year struggle” said Bill Hoffman, Ricky’s father. “These kids and their families go through so much, this organization really helps to make the journey easier”.
