I, Tonya Burwell, was diagnosed in February, 1997 with my brain tumor. I did no idea of what was happening. I immediately started to do brain tumor research, which lead me to starting the Surviving Brain Tumors Awareness Event. This event helps area individuals and patients understand what is going on and where they can learn, go to, and find out more information about brain tumors. This is my most important reason for holding the Surviving Brain Tumors Awareness Event, to help others understand the facts and important information about brain tumors, and realize the high number of people who are being diagnosed with brain tumors, in our society, today! No one is alone in this ongoing fight against brain tumors and brain cancers!!
Location:
University/Rainbows Babies and Children’s Hospital-Atrium/Cafeteria
