Musella Foundation is offering a prize for the top $$ producing team on the WalkToEndBrainTumors.org website for the

National Walk to End Brain Tumors

May 1, 2012, Hewlett, NY each year 19,000 people in the U.S. are diagnosed with primary brain cancer and over 200,000 people are currently living with a brain tumor.  May is now known as Brain Tumor Awareness month.   Several locations in the US will join Heroes of Hope Grey Ribbon Crusade campaign to Go Grey in May as they host a “National Walk to End Brain Tumors”. The Grey Ribbon is the awareness symbol for brain tumors/cancer. The walks will raise awareness of this deadly disease and funding for much needed research. Brain tumors do not discriminate, they are the leading cause of solid tumor death in children, the second leading cause of cancer death in young men ages 20-39, and 20% of all other cancers will spread to the brain.

These Grey Ribbon Crusade events are part of our May Brain Tumor Awareness month activities designed to remember brain tumor warriors and their family and friends.  Anyone can participate and we have seen how powerful small steps can be when they are united for one cause.” says Lisa Millar, Founder of the Brad Kaminsky Foundation and Co Founder of the Heroes of Hope, Grey Ribbon Crusade Campaign along with Dr. Al Musella, of the Musella Foundation for Brain Tumor Information and Research.

The Heroes of Hope Grey Ribbon Crusade campaign aims to unite all those in the fight against brain tumors. Currently, there are 74 not for profits and over 400 individual members with all 50 states represented under this National brand. The initiative seeks to create dynamic action in the drive for funding of brain tumor research and of awareness through a synergistic approach.
