The Musella Foundation Co-Pay Assistance program is now closed to new applicants!
We had an unbelievable response to our new copayment assistance program. We have approved over $500,000 in co-payment assistance to our members in less than 6 months. We have used up our funds and are looking for more. We will soon send out a mailing to our members asking for donations, as well as grant requests to other foundations.
We can continue to pay claims for our members who were already approved.
We have found that this is a very much needed program - there were people who started radiation without using chemotherapy at the same time because they couldn't afford the copayments. For a glioblastoma patient, the two-year survival rate is 26.5 percent with radiotherapy plus chemotherapy but only 10.4 percent with radiotherapy alone. For a lack of the ability to pay, these people are cutting the chances that they will survive by more than half.
We understand that some people like to make donations to research only. We still offer that option - when you make a donation at
https://www.virtualtrials.com/donations/ you can direct your donation to:
Research only (100% will be used for brain tumor research)
Co-Pay program only
Unrestricted - will be used whereever it is needed most, including our organizations' expenses
Thanks You
