The fifth "Diagnosis Brain Tumor: You Are NOT Alone" conference will take place at the JFK Conference Center, 70 James Street, Edison, NJ on Saturday, October 5, 2013 from 8:30 to 5:00 p.m.
This regional event features keynote speaker Steven Brem, M.D., Director of Neurosurgical Oncology, Co-Director of Brain Tumor Center, Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, PA.
Breakout sessions about a variety of topics will be offered , including Adult Brain Tumors, Pediatric Brain Tumors, Life Planning, Young Adults: Patients & Survivors, Newly Diagnosed: Now What?, The Evidence Behind Hope, Neuropsychology, Quality of Life for Brain Tumor Survivors, Meditation, Understanding Your Neuropathology Report, and more. There will also be panel discussions featuring brain tumor survivors and caregivers of those with brain tumors.
The Central NJ Brain Tumor Support Group & Resource Center, Inc., Monmouth and Ocean County Brain Tumor Support Group, Inc., and Musella Foundation for Brain Tumor Research & Information, Inc. are the conference co-sponsors. The event is hosted and sponsored by the New Jersey Neuroscience Institute Brain Tumor Center at JFK Medical Center, Edison, NJ.
This is a FREE event, but advance registration is needed. The conference includes continental breakfast, lunch, all materials, plus a full day of information and support.
