We awarded 2 important grants for pediatric brain tumor research. I would like to thank Isabel Simpson who shaved her head to raise money for research for helping to raise money for these projects, as well as all of my volunteers who helped with the National Walk To End Brain Tumors, especially Diane Bier, our National Walk Coordinator!
The Musella Foundation has awarded 2 grants for pediatric brain tumor research:
$50,000 for the project titled: Comparative Proteomic and RNA Sequencing of DIPGs and $4,000 for the project: Collection of Autopsy DIPG Specimens. Both of these will be done at the Children's Research Institute in Washington, DC by Dr Javad Nazarian
These funds were raised by the National Walk To End Brain Tumors and the "Save to Shave" fundraiser run by Isabel Simpson.
