The annual Flo’s Chili Cook-Off fundraiser is set for 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Aug. 27 at American Legion Post No. 253, 60 Devoe Ave., Spotswood. Entertainment and chili sampling will begin at noon. An awards ceremony is planned for 4:30 p.m.
All proceeds and donations will benefit the comprehensive programs, treatments and services for brain- and spinal-tumor patients and their families at the Brain Tumor Center at JFK Neuroscience Institute, Edison.
The daylong event will feature live entertainment, face painting and body art, a Chinese auction, a horseshoe competition and homemade chili.
