Al's Comment:
We are trying to raise money for several very important projects. I have many brain tumor research grant applications sitting on my desk right now - we will use the proceeds from our walks to fund these projects.

National Walk To End Brain Tumors
May is Brain Tumor Awareness Month. Brain tumors do not discriminate. Each year 300,000 people in the U.S. are diagnosed with primary brain tumor or cancer. They are the leading cause of solid tumor death in children, the second leading cause of cancer death in young men ages 20-39, and 20% of all other cancers will spread to the brain.
The National Walk To End Brain Tumors is a series of 5k walks to raise brain tumor awareness in the community as well as raise money for brain tumor research.
All brain tumor charities are invited to participate – each charity puts on their own event, and keeps all of the funds raised – there are no costs to the charity to make their event part of the National Walk To End Brain Tumors. We promote all of the events to speed up the search for the cure – no matter which organization sponsors the events. The sponsoring organization is displayed on every event listing on the website!
Walk in honor of your loved one and help raise awareness and funds for brain tumor research. Go to
WalkToEndBrainTumors.org to find an event near you! You can donate even if you are not able to attend the live event!
