Please help with this. We can not let Medicare set a precedent with imposing such severe restrictions. If they get away with it now, it is only going to get worse for the next treatments in the pipeline – which will probably be much more expensive than Optune.
Medicare has published a proposed rule on coverage for Optune for GBM and there is an open comment period now where we can voice our thoughts on it.
The good news: They will now cover Optune
The bad news: They placed severe restrictions so that probably over 75% of GBM patients won't be able to get it covered under Medicare and you might not be able to use your current doctors!
