Al's Comment:

This program is for patients with high grade primary brain tumors who could use help with the copayments for Temodar, Avastin and Optune (or the generics of these).   We have not been open for a few months so there might be a lot of people waiting for this to open - and we may run out of money quickly.  If you are thinking of applying - do it ASAP!

Musella Foundation Copay Assistance Program is now open!

Our copay assistance program is now open.  We have received some very generous donations to the program - thank you to the donors!

The program is open to patients with a high grade primary malignant brain tumor, and who have insurance, but who could use help with copayments for Temodar, Avastin or Optune (and their generics). There is an income limit - but it is very generous.  We award grants of up to $5,000 per year to help with these copays,  See braintumorcopays.org for details and to apply!

The program opens and closes to new and renewal applications as we have funding. When the program closes - we still pay the claims from patients who were already approved - we set aside their $5,000 when it is approved.  If they do not use the entire $5,000 at the end of the 1 year grant, it goes back into the pot for us to use on other patients!

If you think you may need help, apply. Never be shy or embarrassed to ask for help.  We went through this and understand the financial pressures that a malignant brain tumor can cause, even if you were OK financially before. We are here to take some of the stress off of you and try to make the process easy.

We never know how long the program will remain open - it depends on how many applications we receive. We think this will close in a few days so if you think you need it, apply as soon as possible.  There is a requirement for proof of diagnosis. Most people have the doctor sign the form - but we also accept a copy of the pathology report instead of having the doctor sign - and this is usually quicker to get.

DO NOT mail the application - the program will be closed before we get to it. Upload it to the website or fax it.   If you do not have a scanner, you can take pictures of it on your phone and upload the pictures right from your phone.  We consider applications in the order received - of only completed applications.

If you have questions or any trouble with the application, contact us by using the 'Contact Us' link on the website or call us at 888-295-4740.
