The BrainStorm Summit will return for its fifth annual gathering September 16–18, 2026, in McLean, Virginia, bringing together families affected by pediatric brain tumors alongside researchers, physicians, clinicians, advocates, nonprofit leaders, industry partners, and supporters from across the country for three days of collaboration, education, and connection. Held immediately before CureFest weekend, BrainStorm Summit has grown into one of the few events intentionally designed to unite every perspective within the pediatric brain tumor community. Rather than focusing solely on research or family support, the Summit creates opportunities for meaningful collaboration between those developing tomorrow's treatments and those living the reality of pediatric brain tumors every day.
Attendees will participate in interactive discussions, educational sessions, research updates, collaborative workshops, and networking opportunities designed to encourage the sharing of ideas across disciplines. Adult programming emphasizes conversation and collaboration over traditional presentations, while dedicated programming for children, teens, and young adults ensures every member of the family has opportunities to connect with peers who understand their journey. Since its launch in 2022, BrainStorm Summit has become known not only for the quality of its educational content but also for fostering lasting relationships between families, medical professionals, researchers, and advocacy organizations. Many attendees return year after year, building collaborations that continue long after the Summit concludes. This year's Summit will once again feature nationally recognized physicians, leading researchers, nonprofit organizations, industry representatives, and families who are committed to improving outcomes for children diagnosed with pediatric brain tumors. Sessions will explore advances in research and clinical trials, advocacy efforts, family support, survivorship, bereavement, and the future of collaboration across the pediatric brain tumor community.
