In Loving Memory of Krongthong Phongsak

Krongthong Phongsak, also known as Hohuilang or 'Krong', was born on January 17, 1954 in Thailand. She took her last breath on February 21, 2024 at the age of 70 in the comfort of her home in Cerritos, California, surrounded by her loved ones.
Krong spent her childhood in Mae Sai and Chiang Mai, and was the oldest child of a family of 5 children. At the age of 27, she married her life partner, Phanh. Together, they traveled to the United States where they would spend the next 43 years of their life together.
Krong was a dedicated mother to twin daughters and a son, and the most caring wife to her husband. She also worked in a variety of settings outside of the home. She was a dental assistant, decorated wedding cakes, and worked in medical devices. She spent the latter years of her life as the bookkeeper for the family engineering company. She also had different roles in church, such as helping with the children's bible lessons and cooking church meals.
During her free time, Krong loved to be in the company of others. She enjoyed long walks and talks with her friends, participating in bible studies, doing Zumba workouts, and of course, shopping for a good deal! Most of all, she loved the Lord deeply and never failed to show the love of Christ to others. Krong's devotion to her church, the Church in Cerritos, was an enormous part of her life, and she spent endless hours serving in the company of her church family.
Krong fought her 3 year battle with Glioblastoma Multiforme with courage and grace. She smiled every day and showed others her love until she no longer could. She is survived by her husband Phanh, her three children and their families: Karen (Tony), Susanne (Tim), Philip (Nicki), as well as 5 grandchildren. Krong will be profoundly missed by the many lives that she has touched.
